Ricardo Batiz-Torres
Founder & Club Director | Presente Volleyball Academy
Ricardo Batiz-Torres is the Founder and Club Director of Presente Volleyball Academy, where his passion for volleyball is matched by an even greater commitment to developing young athletes into confident, disciplined, and purpose-driven leaders.
Ricardo brings more than 21 years of leadership experience from the United States Army, where he served in senior leadership roles, including Command Sergeant Major. Throughout his military career, he was entrusted with leading, mentoring, and developing people while building teams centered on accountability, discipline, preparation, service, and excellence. He has carried those same leadership principles into his professional career and, ultimately, into the foundation of Presente Volleyball Academy.
For Ricardo, Presente is about much more than winning volleyball matches. The academy was created to provide young athletes with an environment where they can develop their skills, compete at a high level, and learn lessons that extend far beyond the volleyball court.
Inspired by Isaiah 6:8 and the meaning behind the word “Presente” — “Here I am” — Ricardo believes leadership begins with being willing to answer the call, serve others, and be fully present when an opportunity to make a difference arises.
His vision is to build Presente into an organization known not only for competitive volleyball, but also for developing athletes of strong character who understand the importance of Faith, Discipline, Purpose, Respect, and Excellence.
Through Presente, Ricardo seeks to create opportunities for young athletes throughout Baldwin County and the Gulf Coast while building a culture where coaches, athletes, and families share a commitment to growth, accountability, teamwork, and service.
His philosophy is simple:
Develop the athlete. Develop the leader. Prepare them for what comes next.
Answer the Call. Be Present.
